Abstract

Kasus penolakan jenazah di Indonesia terus berlangsung sampai saat ini. Hal ini diakibatkan karena banyak faktor, salah satunya adalah ketidakjelasan informasi mengenai COVID-19 di masyarakat. Tujuan penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk memberikan gambaran kasus stigma penolakan jenazah COVID-19 serta prosedur pemulasaran jenazah COVID-19 yang ada di Indonesia sejauh ini. Metode penulisan menggunakan studi literatur kasus sederhana, dimana pencarian artikel dilakukan melalui 4 database, yaitu: ProQuest, ScieneDirect, PubMed dan Wiley Online. Hasilnya memperlihatkan bahwa stigmatisasi dan diskriminasi tidak hanya terjadi pada penolakan jenazah COVID-19, melainkan pada ODP, PDP dan OTG. Transparansi tentang transmisi virus, prosedur pemulasaran jenazah COVID-19 dari ruang rawat sampai pemakaman belum maksimal, meski panduan sudah dibuat oleh pemerintah. Belum gencarnya sosialisasi terkait COVID-19 menjadi hal utama yang harus diperhatikan demi memutus dampak negatif selama masa pandemi.
