Abstract

The main raw material for the furniture industry today is mostly wood taken from natural forests. If the management is not efficient so that it is necessary to take large-scale wood, and it will cause natural destruction with minimal benefit. This is of course contrary to the Government's commitment to organize a green industry based on ecological guidelines. So we need a concept that is eco-efficiency in order to produce optimal production with limited raw materials. Eco-efficiency is a concept to minimize the use of natural resources and energy, as well as reduce the negative impact it has on the environment. This study aims to determine the application of eco-efficiency in the production of wooden furniture in furniture companies in Jepara Regency. In this study the authors used a qualitative-descriptive method. Collecting data through observation and literature study. Observations were made on the consumption of resources used in production to determine the difference between before and after the application of the eco-efficiency concept. The result is that the application of eco-efficiency in the furniture industry can increase the company's performance and productivity by increasing its profitability.
